Continuing Education

King's Daughters Medical Center (KDMC) and the Kentucky Heart Foundation, Inc. (KHF) are committed to providing ongoing opportunities for health professionals and interested community members to gain the latest knowledge and skills in the field of medicine, and to earn or maintain their certifications. Throughout the year, KDMC and KHF host educational events and conferences featuring local experts and nationally renowned presenters. Most of these events are free of charge or have a nominal fee.

Faculty disclosure statement: The faculty disclosure policy of KDMC and KHF requires that faculty participating in an educational activity disclose to the audience any relationship with a pharmaceutical or equipment company which might pose a conflict of interest with regard to their contribution to the activity. Full disclosure will be provided at the time of the activity prior to presentation.

Nursing Leadership Program

CNE statement: This program is approved by the Kentucky Board of Nursing for 1.2 contact hours. KBN # 4-0036-1-17-007. Expires January 1, 2017.

2012 EMS Conference

King's Daughters is proud to partner with Air Methods to present EMS Conference 2012. The program is designed to enhance the knowledge and skill of the healthcare professional in emergency care and first response management. This year's program takes place March 12-13 at the Ashland Plaza Hotel with presentations on designer street drugs, captnography, and left and right heart failure. Day 2 presentations focus on 12-lead EKG interpretation, fascicular, hemiblocks and bundle branch blocks and ST and T wave changes associated with ischemia, injury and infarction.
