ASHLAND, KY — King’s Daughters is pleased to announce Mona Thompson has accepted the position of Patient Services vice president/chief nursing officer.
Thompson began her nursing career at KDMC in 1981, serving 13 years in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She subsequently held various nursing and patient education roles at the medical center, most recently serving as director of Quality Management. Thompson is committed to both nursing excellence and service quality.
Her academic achievements include an Associate’s in Nursing from Ashland Community College, and a Bachelor’s in Nursing from Morehead State University. She is pursuing an Master’s in Business Administration with emphasis in Healthcare Management through the University of Phoenix.
Thompson and her husband, Terry, reside in Flatwoods, Ky., and have two adult daughters, Melissa and Rebecca.
