ASHLAND, KY — King’s Daughters is pleased to announce Helena Habib, nurse manager for the Behavioral Medicine Unit, recently earned her Masters in Nursing from Marshall University.
Before coming to the medical center in 2006, Habib served as a manager at Mildred Mitchell Bateman State Psychiatric Hospital, Huntington, W.Va. Previously, she served as a charge nurse at River Park Hospital, also in Huntington.
A resident of Huntington, Habib earned her Bachelor’s in Nursing in 1999 at West Virginia University, and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration in 2002 at Marshall University.
KDMC’s Behavioral Medicine Unit at is a 27-bed acute stabilization unit that cares for patients with primary psychiatric diagnosis. Patients are motivated to attend daily group and/or individual therapy sessions that are designed to help patients return home and resume their lives as quickly as possible.
