ASHLAND, KY — King’s Daughters is pleased to announce Mark Detherage, M.D., has accepted the position of Vice President of Quality/chief quality officer.
As vice president, Dr. Detherage will oversee the operations of several departments, including Quality Management, Case Management, Infection Control, Patient Safety and Social Services.
In March, Dr. Detherage was named chief quality officer. His responsibilities include advancing overall quality services, including clinical quality, patient safety and process improvement, as well as compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
A family practitioner, Dr. Detherage joined King’s Daughters in September 2001, practicing at Flatwoods Family Care Center. In October 2004, he was named medical director of KDMC’s Family Care Centers and Occupational Medicine program. A year later, his leadership responsibilities were further expanded to include medical director of Home Health.
Dr. Detherage is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He earned his medical degree in 1997 from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, and completed his residency in 2000 at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, S.C.
