ASHLAND, Ky. – King’s Daughters Medical Center will offer free skin cancer screenings from 9 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, June 5, at Tractor Supply, 250 Pine Crest Drive, Morehead, Ky.
Skin cancer is the most common of all cancer types. More than 3.5 million skin cancers are diagnosed each year in the U.S., which is more than all other cancers combined. Through screenings and exams, many skin cancers can be found early, when they are easier to treat.
Screenings provide information about skin cancer, risk levels and what individuals can do to prevent it. KDMC Surgeon Khalid Shalaby, M.D., will interpret results. Appointments are required and may be made by calling 1-888-377-KDMC (5362).
