ASHLAND, Ky. – The physicians and surgeons of Tri-State Vascular Specialists invite you to learn more about your circulatory system and tour their new offices during an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 19.
The practice recently relocated to Suite 140 of Medical Plaza B, 613 23rd St., Ashland, on the campus of King’s Daughters Medical Center.
“We are really excited to show off our new office,” said Carolyn Lowe, Tri-State practice manager. In addition to being more convenient and accessible for patients, the new space provides more exam and testing rooms, she said.
Tri-State Vascular Specialists includes five physicians in two specialties: vascular/endovascular surgeons Omran Abul-Khoudoud, M.D., Al Addasi, M.D., and Brandon Law, M.D.; and interventional radiologists Wes Lewis, M.D., and Pho Nguyen, M.D.
To help celebrate the open house, the practice will offer two free health screenings. The first, for carotid artery disease, is available to people age 55 and older. It is designed to detect blockages in the main arteries that supply blood to the brain. Blockages in these vessels can lead to stroke. The screening consists of a painless ultrasound exam.
The second screening – for varicose veins – is open to adults 18 and older. The screening consists of a paper and pencil questionnaire followed by a visual examination of the affected area. Varicose veins are often large, bulging or twisted, and can cause tiredness, achiness or heaviness in the legs.
Appointments are required for the screenings and can be made by calling King’s Daughters at 1-888-377-KDMC (5362).
In addition to the screening, guests will have the opportunity to tour the offices, meet the team, learn more about interventional radiology and vascular surgery and enter to win a free Kindle Fire.
