ASHLAND, Ky. – King’s Daughters Medical Center is offering a free joint pain screening beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at the Outpatient Services Building, 408 23rd St., Ashland.
Evaluations will be performed by KDMC physical therapists. KDMC orthopedic surgeon Laura Reese, D.O., and sports medicine physician Andy Gilliland, M.D., will discuss results and make recommendations.
“Injury, arthritis, illness or normal wear and tear can cause joint pain,” Dr. Reese said. “Screenings allow our joint care team to identify the cause of the pain and recommend follow-up services.”
Non-invasive screenings are available for pain affecting the knees, hips, shoulders, back and other joints. Appointments are required and may be made by calling 1-888-377-KDMC (5362).
KDMC is a locally controlled, not-for-profit, 465-bed regional referral center, offering comprehensive cardiac, vascular, medical, surgical, maternity, pediatric, rehabilitative, psychiatric, cancer, neurological, pain care, wound care and home care services. For additional information, visit us online at or call 1-888-377-KDMC (5362).
