ASHLAND, KY — The King’s Daughters medical staff welcomes two cardiologists to the medical staff: Arshad Ali, M.D., and Bipinpreet Nagra, M.D. Both have joined fellow cardiologists Sriharsha Velury, M.D., and Riaz Baqir, M.D., at SV Cardiology, which is located on the ground floor of KDMC’s Heart and Vascular Center, Suite G10.
Interventional cardiologist Arshad Ali, M.D.
Dr. Ali comes to KDMC after practicing in Pennsylvania for several years. He is board certified in the subspecialties of Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
He received his medical degree from Rawalpindi Medical College, Pakistan. Dr. Ali completed a residency in 1994 at the State University of New York - Buffalo. Dr. Ali also completed a fellowship in 1997 at Oschner Foundation Hospital and Clinic, New Orleans. He went on to complete a second fellowship in coronary and peripheral intervention in 1998 at St. John Hospital, Detroit.
Cardiologist/Electrophysiologist Bipinpreet Nagra, M.D.
As an electrophysiologist, Dr. Nagra specializes in the treatment of electrical disturbances in the heart, pacemakers and defibrillators. His wife, ophthalmologist Parveen Nagra, M.D., also recently joined the medical staff at King’s Daughters.
Dr. Nagra received his medical degree in 1999 from the University of Delhi Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, India. He completed an internship in 2001 at the University of Connecticut, Farmington, Conn., Dr. Nagra also completed a residency in 2003 at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia. He went on to complete two fellowships: one in cardiology in 2006 at Albert Einstein Medical Center, the other in electrophysiology this year at The Ohio State University, Columbus.
