ASHLAND, KY — The Kentucky Heart Institute (KHI) is announcing Carol Fugitt, Ed.D., has accepted the position of grant writer. She will be responsible for researching and securing grants that will support cardiovascular research and other KHI projects.
Dr. Fugitt previously served as director of the Capacity Building Grant at Mission West Virginia in Hurricane, W.Va. She also has been a counseling coordinator, fundraiser and adjunct faculty member at Ohio University Southern in Ironton, Ohio, and has more than 15 years of experience in non-profit organizations.
Dr. Fugitt earned her Doctorate in Higher Education/Leadership Studies at West Virginia University, Morgantown, W.Va. She holds a Masters in Counseling/Student Affairs and Bachelors in Psychology from Marshall University, Huntington, W.Va. She is certified as a grant specialist through the National Grant Writers Association.
