KDMC online seminar to discuss the prevalence of peripheral artery disease

Eight million Americans have it, and most don’t even have symptoms. But those with undiagnosed, untreated peripheral artery disease are at increased risk for heart disease, heart attack and amputation. PAD is a narrowing of the peripheral arteries, commonly restricting blood supply to the pelvis and legs.

Join us for an engaging, live online discussion with vascular/endovascular surgeon Omran Abul-Khoudoud, M.D., as he presents “PAD: The Most Common Disease You’ve Never Heard Of.” This presentation is part of KDMC’s continuing “Meet the Experts” series.

Participants will be able to view this live video of Dr. Khoudoud from the comfort of their home or office, and have the opportunity to submit questions via online chat. This session is free and takes place Wednesday, April 13, at noon. To sign up, visit kdmc.com or call 1-888-377-KDMC (5362) for more information.

As a vascular/endovascular surgeon, Dr. Khoudoud is involved with the diagnosis and comprehensive treatment of diseases of the circulatory system (arteries, veins and lymph nodes) using both traditional and minimally invasive approaches.

Upcoming “Meet the Experts” live web seminars include:

  • Understanding Atrial Fibrillation with cardiologist and electrophysiologist Jignesh Shah, M.D., Wednesday, April 27, at noon.
  • Innovations in Back and Spine Surgery with neurosurgeon Clark Bernard, M.D., Wednesday, May 11, at noon.
  • A Revolution in Women’s Surgery: da Vinci Hysterectomy with obstetrician/gynecologist Brian Frederick, M.D., Wednesday, May 18, at noon.
  • The da Vinci Hysterectomy – Hysterectomy is Not What It Used to Be with obstetrician/gynecologist Kelsey James, M.D., Wednesday, May 25, at noon.
