King’s Daughters Urgent Care Center opens in Ironton

Ironton residents now have a quick and convenient option for their medical care with the opening of King’s Daughters Urgent Care. Located in the King’s Daughter Medical Specialties – Ironton, Ohio, office at 912 Park Ave., the Urgent Care Center is open Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to midnight as well as Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on holidays.

King’s Daughters Urgent Care centers are designed to treat the illnesses and injuries of adults and children who cannot wait for a traditional physician appointment, but do not require the services of a hospital emergency department.  “And, we strive to treat you quickly — without an appointment – often in as little as 30 minutes,” says John Gartin, nurse supervisor over KDMC’s four Urgent Care Centers (located in Ashland, Portsmouth, Grayson and Ironton).

“We’re equipped to take care of a variety of health concerns,” Gartin said, including:

  • Respiratory ailments such as colds, flu, infections, sore throat, coughing and asthma
  • Infections, including eyes, ears, wounds and urinary tract
  • Fevers
  • Broken bones, sprains and strains
  • Stitching of lacerations and wounds
  • Vaccinations, including tetanus, pneumonia and flu (seasonal)
  • Rashes and bites, including poison ivy, hives, shingles, bee stings and dog bites
  • Removing foreign objects from the eyes, ears and nose

Diagnostic services include:

  • On-site laboratory
  • X-ray
  • IV infusion
  • EKG

King’s Daughters Urgent Care Centers are not designed to provide ongoing management of chronic illnesses. For ongoing medical care, including pain management, it is recommended you contact your primary care physician.
