KDMC welcomes new physicians

Bringing world-class care to our communities requires physicians dedicated to providing quality care. The recent additions to the KDMC medical staff exemplify this requirement. Please welcome the following physicians to King’s Daughters:

Emergency medicine physician Brett Jarrell, M.D.

Dr. Jarrell is practicing with Ashland Emergency Medical Associates.

Dr. Jarrell is a 2001 medical school graduate of the Marshall University School of Medicine, Huntington, W.Va. He continued his medical education by completing a residency at the West Virginia University School of Medicine, Morgantown, W.Va., 2004.

Hospitalist Kim Martin, D.O.

Dr. Martin joins our staff of hospitalists, who treat inpatients at KDMC.

She is a 2005 graduate of the Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine, Ky. Dr. Martin continued her medical education by completing an internship (2006) and a residency (2008) at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital, Ashland.

Psychiatrist Joao Ramos, M.D.

Dr. Ramos is a 2001 medical school graduate of Universidade Federal da Bahia, Brazil. He continued his medical education by completing an internship (2004) and a residency (2007) at the St. Louis University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Mo.

Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Ramos joins psychiatrists Judie Kwolek, M.D., and Shah Muhammad Nadeem, M.D., serving patients in the King's Daughters Behavioral Medicine Unit.
