Registration is being accepted for an acute care nursing conference sponsored by King’s Daughters Medical Center on Thursday, May 13, titled “Pharmacology – Simplify, Not Mystify.” The conference, which begins at 8 a.m. and concludes at 3:30 p.m. at KDMC’s Health Education Center (lower level of Lexington Avenue parking garage), focuses on pharmacology relevant to acute care nursing. It is targeted toward nurse practitioners, nurses and other interested healthcare rofessionals. Continuing education credit is available. Topics include: using suffixes to identify and classify drugs; common treatment regimens for clinical conditions; and interactions between drugs, food and alternative therapies. A $25 fee covers the cost of course materials and lunch.
