King's Daughters has been named, for the fourth
consecutive year, as one of the Best Places to Work in Kentucky. KDMC earned 11th place in the
large-sized employer category (250 employees or more).
The Best Places to Work in Kentucky program recognizes and rewards the best employers
throughout the state. The process to select the top employers includes a
two-part examination of an organization’s work culture. The first part asks for
documentation of policies, procedures, and data about the workforce and things
that differentiate a company from all other employers. The second portion asks
randomly-selected team members in-depth questions about what it’s like to work
at their company.
"The past year was extraordinarily
challenging for many companies, including King's Daughters," said KDMC
President/CEO Fred Jackson. "However, our Team remains committed. Through
everyone's collective efforts, KDMC was able to continue to grow and add jobs
in a very competitive economic climate," he said. "The medical center has more
than 5,000 Team Members, physicians and volunteers, making us the largest
employer in the region and one of the economic engines of eastern Kentucky and
New services added at KDMC in the past year include two urgent care centers, greatly
expanded heart and vascular services throughout the region, new family care
centers in Jackson and Wheelersburg, Ohio, and the establishment of the Center
for Advanced NeuroMedicine.

In January, it was announced that KDMC made the national headlines when
included on Fortune magazine's roster
of the "100 Best Companies to Work For in America." This is also the
third year in a row that KDMC has earned Fortune’s
The Best Places to Work in Kentucky program, now in its fifth year, is an
initiative dedicated to finding and recognizing Kentucky's best employers and
to raise the bar among Kentucky’s employers by recognizing the very best
