The King’s Daughters Medical Center Auxiliary recently awarded $200,000 toward 17 specific projects that will benefit patients and local residents. The funds were raised throughout the year by gift shop sales, as well as special sales and events sponsored by members of the KDMC Auxiliary.
“The Auxiliary is the governing body of our more than 400 volunteers,” said Jane Blankenship, director of Volunteer Services. “In the past year our volunteers, including the teen volunteers who work in the summer, contributed more than 60,000 hours of service to the medical center, and have raised significant dollars that will benefit the Hospitality House, newborns, the elderly and families in need.”
