ASHLAND, KY — King’s Daughters is pleased to welcome neuroradiologist Charl Van Wyk, M.D., to the medical staff. He is practicing with the physicians of Tri-State Radiology. He comes to the medical center from the University of Kentucky, where he was an assistant professor in the Neuroradiology Department.
Dr. Van Wyk received his medical degree in 1992 from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He completed an internship in 1993 at Witbank General Hospital, South Africa, and a residency in 1996 at Integris Health, Oklahoma City, Okla. He also completed a fellowship in neuroradiology in 2000 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School, Boston, Mass. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology.
Neuroradiology is the medical subspecialty that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of brain, spinal cord, head and neck, and vascular lesions using X-ray, CT, MRI and ultrasound.
