Dr. Bush earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Louisville, Ky. He completed an internship (1988), a residency (1989) and a fellowship (1991), all at University of Louisville hospitals. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, with a subspecialty certification in Cardiovascular Disease.
