King’s Daughters Medical Center (KDMC) has formed a new subsidiary, King’s Daughters Medical Transport (KDMT), and now is providing ambulance and transport services to Boyd and Greenup counties in Kentucky.
“This is another exciting day at King’s Daughters,” says Fred Jackson, president/CEO for KDMC. “We now can bring our nationally recognized clinical quality and customer service to patients, beginning at the point of transport,” said Jackson.
King’s Daughters believes having an adequate number of emergency ambulance and non-emergency transportation vehicles and personnel is vital to the safety and health of our communities. KDMT will initially employ about 40 team members. To oversee the day-to-day operations, KDMT has partnered with Parastar, Inc., a nationally recognized EMS management and consulting firm.
“We consider this an excellent opportunity to give back to our communities,” Jackson said. “We are looking forward to providing ambulance and transportation to residents, businesses, and other healthcare facilities.”
