Modern Healthcare magazine, a leading healthcare journal in America, has placed King’s Daughters Medical Center (KDMC) on the national list of the 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare.
This is the first year of this award, recognizing America’s most outstanding healthcare organizations. The award focuses on organizations that allow team members to perform at their optimum level while providing patients and customers with the best possible care and services.
“We are honored to have received this award,” said KDMC President/CEO Fred Jackson. “No one person can create the type of environment we enjoy at KDMC. It is truly the dedication and loyalty of our entire team of nearly 3,900 people that drives our quest to be a world-class healthcare organization,” he said. “I am personally proud and honored to be associated with the finest group of healthcare workers I have ever seen in our industry,” Jackson said.
“We are recognized by Fortune, Thomson Reuters, HealthGrades, Foster McGaw, the Best Places to Work in Kentucky and many accreditation organizations because of our team members’ commitment to our patients, their families and fellow teammates,” he said.
The Modern Healthcare award is based on survey information from KDMC and its team members. Modern Healthcare will reveal rankings of the 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare in a special supplement to be published on Oct. 27 of this year. KDMC will receive its award at a special event in Chicago, Ill., in late October.
