Jane BlankenshipASHLAND, KY — King’s Daughters recently celebrated Volunteer Services Week by hosting a luncheon to honor volunteers who serve at the medical center.
During the event, service award pins were presented to 135 volunteers, and gifts were presented to volunteer attendees. The Pre-School II class from the King’s Daughters Child Development Center, and David Browning, the Mayberry Deputy, entertained guests.
In the last year, more than 400 volunteers served at King’s Daughters, providing more than 70,000 hours of service. Volunteers are active in reception and information areas, the Auxiliary Gift Shop and the Hospitality House.
“Our volunteers provide exceptional customer service to our patients, visitors and families as well as assist our team members in meeting the needs of our customers,” says Jane Blankenship, director of Volunteer Services.
Blankenship says KDMC \currently is recruiting volunteers to serve in the Gift Shop, the Hospitality House, and the Heart and Vascular Center.
