Brian Norris has joined the leadership team of King’s Daughters Medical Center (KDMC) as director of Anesthesia Services.
Norris is responsible for administrative functions related to anesthesia, including billing, recruitment, policies, procedures, and development/monitoring of performance indicators. He is the primary liaison between the anesthesia providers and the medical center.
Previously, Norris served for eight months as the administrator/COO of the private anesthesia group at KDMC. He came to the Ashland area from Providence Hospital in Mobile, Ala., where he was the anesthesia department director. Norris has 13 years of experience in clinics, practice management and hospitals. He attended Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Mich.; earned a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Mobile; and a master’s degree in Bioethics from Spring Hill College, also in Mobile. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and served on the board for a state chapter of the Medical Group Management Association.
