Continuing Medical Education Program Earns Accreditation

ASHLAND, KY — The Kentucky Medical Association (KMA) Continuing Medical Education Committee recently awarded King’s Daughters Medical Center 4-year re-accreditation for its Continuing Medical Education (CME) program.

Following a recent site review, King’s Daughters’ CME program was determined to be 100 percent compliant with KMA standards. The medical center’s review team included ophthalmologist Raymond Mecca, M.D., chairman for the CME program, Kim Bayes, Beth Delaney and Marjorie Ferguson.

KDMC provides onsite continuing medical education presentations, which enable physicians to maintain, develop or increase their knowledge, skills and professional performance. To maintain Kentucky licensure, physicians must complete 60 hours of continuing medical education every three years.
