King’s Daughters Breast Care Center will host its annual Day of Beauty for breast cancer survivors from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19. The event will feature breast health education, beauty tips, manicures, skin care, door prizes, refreshments and free gifts while supplies last.
“Taking care of yourself and doing things to remember you are a beautiful person are very important for women, especially those going through cancer treatments,” said Doretha Pridemore, Breast Care Center supervisor and breast cancer survivor.

Women looking for support and services to help them look and feel their best as they fight breast cancer need not wait until the next Day of Beauty. The Women’s Boutique located in King’s Daughters Center for Advanced Imaging offers an array of merchandise and services including specialty bras, breast forms and a certified mastectomy fitter. The boutique also offers wigs, along with services of specially trained personnel who can help women look and feel their best.
