Interventional cardiologist Yabiz Sedghi, M.D., has joined King’s Daughters Medical Center and is practicing with the 17 other cardiologists at the Kentucky Heart Institute.
Sedghi earned her medical degree from the University of Sint Eustatius School of Medicine, Netherlands Antilles. She completed her residency and fellowships in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular disease at Ochsner Clinic Foundation, New Orleans. She also completed a fellowship in heart failure and transplant at Ochsner Heart and Vascular Institute, New Orleans. Sedghi is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification in cardiovascular disease.
An interventional cardiologist deals specifically with treatment of heart disease including blocked coronary arteries, valve disease and repair of congenital heart defects.
