Orthopaedic surgeon Steven Novotny, M.D., has joined King's Daughters Medical Specialties — Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.
Novotny specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery and is an orthopaedic surgeon with Marshall Orthopaedics. He is now treating patients at KDMC’s main campus, practicing with orthopaedic spine surgeon James Rice, M.D., and sports medicine and primary care physician Andy Gilliland, M.D.
Novotny earned his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles. He completed his internship and residency at Stanford Hospitals and Clinics, Stanford, Calif. Novotny completed a fellowship in spine surgery at the Texas Back Institute, Plano, Texas, and a fellowship in hand surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. Novotny is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery with subspecialty certification in surgery of the hand.
