Neurologist and aging disorders specialist J. Terry Petrella, M.D., has joined the medical staff at King’s Daughters Medical Center (KDMC).
Dr. Petrella comes to KDMC from Sarasota, Fla., where she has practiced since the mid-1990s. She has a special interest in treating memory problems, gait and balance disorders, and Parkinson’s disease.
Dr. Petrella is a 1989 medical school graduate of the American University of the Caribbean, St. Maarten, N.A. She completed an internship at Providence Hospital (University of Michigan affiliated), Southfield, Mich., in 1990; and a residency at the University of Nebraska-Creighton University, Omaha, Neb., in 1993.
Her education includes two fellowships, both at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh, Pa.: in 1994, EEG/Evoked Potentials and Clinical Neurodiagnostics; and in 1995, EMG and Neuromuscular Diseases.
