KDMC Names Dent Director of Clinical Informatics

Dent.SoniaASHLAND, KY  — King’s Daughters is pleased to announce Sonia Dent, R.N., MSN/MBA/HC, CCA, has accepted the position of director of Clinical Informatics.

In this new role, Dent will lead KDMC’s clinical implementation team, which is responsible for evaluating, purchasing and implementing a new clinical information system. This significant technology investment will substantially impact efficiency, productivity and patient safety at the medical center.

Dent has been with KDMC for 15 years, most recently serving as director of Inpatient Services for the Heart and Vascular Center. She earned her Associate’s in Nursing in 1992 at Ashland Community and Technical College, and her Bachelor’s in Nursing in 2002 from University of Phoenix. She also completed her Master’s in Nursing/Business Administration/Health Care Management in 2005 from University of Phoenix.
