It’s a fact that Advanced Cardiac Life Support training saves lives.
The American Heart Association has found that patients in cardiac arrest have a 6.4 percent better chance of survival with ACLS than with conventional CPR. 


So KDMC established 100 percent ACLS certification as a goal for fiscal year 2012. And our nurses delivered. Today, every bedside nurse is ACLS certified — more than 750 nurses total. 


Because of measures like this, KDMC received the nation’s first-ever American Heart Association’s Get with the Guidelines: Resuscitation Bronze Award. Now that’s quality.
