King’s Daughters is offering a free healthy heart and EKG screening on the KDMC Mobile Health Unit beginning at 10 a.m. Monday, June 25 at Bailey’s Carpet, 158 Gardner Trail, Salyersville, Ky. The screening includes an EKG, total cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar and blood oxygen levels. Appointments are required and may be made by calling 1-888-377-KDMC (5362).
To encourage patients, families and the community to walk more, and get more out of it, King’s Daughters Medical Center cardiologists Vaughn Payne, M.D., Richard Ansinelli, M.D., and Ghassan Dalati, M.D., are implementing a new walking program in Paintsville called Walk With A Doc.
Walk With A Doc steps off at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 23, at the Kiwanis Trail, Paintsville Lake State Park. Dr. Payne will lead the first session. Walkers will gather at 10 a.m., learn more about the benefits of walking and enjoy a walk on the 1.6 mile Kiwanis Trail with Dr. Payne. Walkers will go at their own pace and are welcome to bring children, friends and family.
King’s Daughters Medical Center, in conjunction with the Kentucky Heart Foundation, is offering a free varicose vein screening beginning at 2 p.m. Friday, June 15 at King’s Daughters Medical Specialties – Proctorville, 6276 State Route 107, Proctorville. Vascular/endovascular surgeon Al Addasi, M.D., will perform the screening.
