Hospitality House
Driving Directions
The King’s Daughters Hospitality House provides families—especially those with limited resources—a warm, inviting place to stay and rest while we care for their loved ones at the medical center. Guests include adult family members or caregivers of either critically ill patients, or qualifying outpatients receiving extended therapeutic care.
The Hospitality House is a home away from home for our families. Located just one block from KDMC’s main entrance, the 12,000-square-foot house features:
- 13 guest rooms, each with two single beds and a private bath, with bed and bath linens provided
- two handicapped-accessible guest rooms
- common kitchen
- dining area
- living room
- laundry facility
- reception area
- 24-hour, on-site management
Guests of the Hospitality House are referred by a social worker from King’s Daughters. Referrals are made once the patient is admitted to KDMC. Guests must be 18 or older; we cannot accommodate children. Referrals and check-ins are accepted between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
In nearly all cases, guests live outside a 30-mile radius of Ashland. In fact, the Hospitality House has cared for families from more than 25 states—including Alabama, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Oklahoma and Texas.
The Hospitality House is made possible by generous donations from our Auxiliary, physicians and team members, as well as businesses and individuals in our community. We also welcome donations from guests and those who have been helped by the Hospitality House and King’s Daughters. We suggest a donation of $15 a night.
