Vital, Mature & Full of Life
You know what they say - 65 is the new 50! Today's mature women are more vibrant, alive and active than ever before. Maintain that vitality by staying on top of your health.
Heart Disease
Women's risk of heart disease and heart attack rises with menopause. So it's important to understand a woman's heart attack signs and symptoms are often different than those experienced by men. They include:
- Shortness of breath
- Unusual fatigue or weakness, often without explanation
- Anxiousness, dizziness or sleep disturbances
- Indigestion
- Upper body discomfort
- Chest pain
Don't ignore these signs - call 9-1-1. It's better to get checked and find nothing than to ignore the signs and have a major cardiac incident.
Your Bladder has a Secret
It's not uncommon for women to experience an overactive bladder or problems controlling urine flow. King's Daughters urologists and gynecologists can assist with testing, bladder training, rehabilitation, medication, and depending on your particular circumstance, surgery. Talk with your family doctor to learn more. There is nothing to be ashamed of ... and it's NOT a normal part of aging!
