King's Daughters Sports Medicine specialists provide expert care for sports-related issues and injuries, including physical fitness, injury prevention, treatment and recovery.
Our Sports Medicine team is dedicated to helping athletes of all ages, shapes and disciplines return to activity as quickly and as safely as possible. The team also treats chronic joint/bone pain.
Board-certified orthopaedic surgeons and a primary care sports medicine physician are the core of our program. Because different sports can lead to different injuries, our highly skilled providers use advanced diagnostic imaging and other procedures to tailor sport-specific rehab programs for each athlete.
Concussion is one of the most serious and prevalent medical problems in high school athletics today. Concussion is common, but it is often difficult to diagnose and treat. King's Daughters ImPACT program provides coaches and athletic trainers with information that can help take the guesswork out of concussion management and promote safe return-to-play decisions for athletes.
ImPACT testing is available upon request through King's Daughters athletic training program at area schools. Talk to your coach or call King's Daughters Medical Specialties - Sports Medicine program at (606) 327-0036 for more information.
