Balance in Daily Life
Balance is vital to everyday life – getting out of a chair, walking, bending over, washing your hair, driving a car, grocery shopping, etc. Just about everything you do requires balance control. When balance problems develop they can profoundly disrupt your life.
Not all balance problems are the same. A wide variety of problems can make it difficult to diagnose their cause and determine the appropriate treatment. Our Balance Center professionals are specially trained in the evaluation and treatment of balance disorders.
A physician referral to the Balance Center is required.
Occupational Therapy
Our occupational therapists work closely with patients to restore strength and coordination following an injury or illness. Our therapists help patients regain basic self-care skills, including feeding, dressing and personal hygiene. We also focus on home management skills, such as cooking and cleaning.
Services are available for all ages, from newborns to mature seniors. Physician referral is required.
Physical Therapy
Physical therapists help patients regain function through therapeutic exercise. Programs include sports medicine, neuralgic diseases, orthopedics, pediatrics, work injury, lymphedema and arthritis pain care. Services are provided to adolescents and adults recovering from:
