Lifeline Program
King's Daughters offers the Lifeline program to Ashland area residents through its Volunteer Services Department.
KDMC Auxiliary offsets the cost so elderly or disabled people living alone pay a minimal monthly fee to subscribe to this emergency call system.
The Lifeline system allows subscribers to summon help through the push of a button. Call Center personnel notify the designated friend/family member that the Lifeline alert has been activated.
In the event a contact person is not available or does not respond, the Call Center notifies the local 9-1-1 system. This ensures that subscribers have a safety net if they have a problem and need immediate assistance.
