Electrophysiology is the study of the electrical currents and pathways that cause the heart to beat. These physicians are specialists in treating rhythm disorders such as atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, bradycardia, etc. Treatment may involve interventional procedures, such as ablation or cardiac resynchronization, medical management through medication, or use of implantable devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators. We welcome new patients and second opinion consultations. Physician referral is not required.
