World-Class Care
For the Unique Woman You Are
At King’s Daughters Medical Center, we recognize that every woman is different and that each stage of your life presents you with unique challenges and concerns. So we offer services and programs to help women meet the challenges with confidence and style.
Starting/Adding to Your Family
King’s Daughters has a group of exceptional OB/GYN physicians, a maternity unit that provides private labor/delivery/recovery suites and private postpartum rooms. For the safety and security of our mothers, babies and families, the maternity unit, labor and delivery, nurseries, and pediatrics are secured. To access labor and delivery, maternity or the nurseries, take E Elevator to the third floor, turn left, and press the call button. You will need to state the party you are visiting in order to gain admittance.
Our Labor and Delivery unit features eight private birthing suits, two c-section suites and an outpatient treatment/procedure room where non-stress testing is performed.
Newborns are get their first physicals in the Newborn Nursery, where physician examinations, lab work and special procedures take place. It’s also a “home away from home” for babies when their moms need a little rest, a shower, or time for personal care.
Our nine-bassinet
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides care for sick newborns – those born prematurely or with other health problems – and is one of only four Level III NICUs in the state. In addition to specially trained nurses, two neonatologists provide round-the-clock care for sick babies.

Care for Children
The Pediatrics Unit at King’s Daughters provides quality care for our younger patients, from birth to age 17. Our caregivers are specially trained in meeting the physical and emotional needs of children. The unit features a unique jungle theme, with friendly stuffed animals, a large tropical fish tank, and beautiful murals in each patient room. To help make a child’s hospital stay as comfortable as possible, parents/guardians are encouraged to stay with their child 24 hours a day. A recliner is available at each bedside and showers are provided.
For the safety of the children and families, the Pediatrics Unit is secured.
