Information for Visitors
Visiting Hours
At King's Daughters, we maintain an open-door policy in regard to visitors in the general nursing units. You are welcome to visit most units from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Under special circumstances, an adult may be allowed to stay with the patient overnight if they are roomed in a private room. If you would like to stay later than 9 p.m., or spend the night, please talk to the nurse. Approved overnight visitors will be given a special pass.
Visiting to the Intensive Care and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Units is restricted. Please speak with the nurse for the specific visiting hours.
Phones
Telephones are provided for the convenience of patients and families. To place a local call, dial 9 for an outside line. You may use a calling card to access long distance services. Phone cards are available in the Gift Shop.
Mobile phones may be used in most waiting areas and most patient care areas. They are restricted in some areas because signals can interfere with monitoring devices. If this is the case, a sign will be posted.
TTY machines for the hearing impaired are available. Please discuss this need with the nurse or dial O from a hospital line.
