Chest Pain is a True Emergency
Chest pressure … pain in the jaw or arm … indigestion or nausea … shortness of breath … fatigue … profuse sweating
Heart attacks strike men and women in different ways, and no two heart attacks are alike. So if you experience any of the signs or symptoms of heart attack – take an aspirin and call 9-1-1 immediately. There is no time to waste.
King’s Daughters has once again been recognized by the national Society of Chest Pain Centers as an accredited facility fully equipped and ready to handle the most complex of heart attacks.
We were the first hospital in this region to meet the society’s high standards, in 2004, and we’ve been continuously accredited ever since.
Our intense focus on caring for heart attack patients quickly and efficiently makes a difference. Our average door-to-balloon (D2B) time over the past year is just 52 minutes, much lower than the 90-minute national goal. In fact, half of our patients had a D2B time of 49 minutes or less!
It’s good to know that when minutes count, King’s Daughters is committed to quick care … and our experts make the most of every second.
