Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP)

Job Duties:

Under the administrative supervision of the Director of Family Care Centers/Occupational Medicine and the medical supervision of the designated family practitioner, the Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) is a licensed health care professional who is responsible for the delivery of safe, competent medical care to patients in the Family Care Center. He/she assumes responsibility/accountability for patient care outcomes of assigned patients. The ARNP provides clinical direction to Family Care Center staff for patient care activities, congruent with his/her scope of practice as determined by licensure. He/she is responsible for establishing and fostering a collaborative work relationship among all health care team members. The ARNP is responsible/accountable for ensuring that his/her clinical behavior is consistent with licensure authority and the mission, philosophy, goals, and standards of King’s Daughters’ Medical Center (KDMC). Other duties may be assigned. A Collaborative Practice Agreement (CPA) will be executed between the ARNP and the designated family practitioner. This CPA will cover the scope of practice and prescribing authority.



Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited school for ARNP. One year of prior experience in family medicine is preferred. Meets specific departmental criteria and/or certification. Successful completion of KDMC medical staff credentialing. Obtain provider number for credentialing and reimbursement for all plans under contract with the medical center, i.e., Medicare, Medicaid, Anthem, Aetna. Demonstrates excellent customer service.
