- Ashland is a classic American town. It offers a variety of cultural activities and recreational opportunities, while maintaining a small-town atmosphere with some of the lowest crime rates in the nation.
- Excellent Schools: Six public school districts operate in this area of Kentucky, as well as several private schools and an active home-schooling network. Each school has individual characteristics that make it a special place to learn. Many are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and several serve as national and state models.
- Ashland is home to the Ashland Community and Technical College, part of the KCTCS community college system. This facility offers many two-year degrees and a wide variety of university-parallel programs for transfer to four-year institutions.
- Ashland is centrally located between several accredited four-year universities, many of which are within a 30-minute drive.
