Date Position Available:
Under the supervision of the RN, office supervisor, physician, nurse practitioner or physician assistant, responsible and accountable for achieving and maintaining proficiency in providing competent, appropriate, and safe nursing care to patients. Provides direct patient care in collaboration with patients, families, peers, nurses, physicians and other health care professionals for a specific patient population. Provides nursing care in accordance to the developmental age of the patient. Is responsible/accountable for ensuring that his/her clinical behavior is consistent with the Kentucky LPN scope of practice and the mission, philosophy, goals and standards of KDMC. Ability to perform: audiometric exams, pulmonary function testing, EKG’s, phlebotomy, urine drug testing and Breath Alcohol Testing (if has certification). Demonstrates a commitment to accountability and growth.
Graduate of accredited School of Practical Nursing, one year prior experience in nursing. Current State licensure for practice in Kentucky. Current certification in Basic Life Support. Basic computer skills required. Demonstrates excellent customer service.
While performing the duties of this job the team member is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms: climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The team member must regularly lift and or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Hours Per Pay Period:
