1. What is the best way for me to pay my hospital bills?
Unpaid balances, including all applicable deductibles, co-payments, co-insurance and any non-covered services are the responsibility of the patient and must be paid upon receipt of the statement. For your convenience we accept a variety of payment methods. Cash, check or money order Visa Mastercard Discover American Express Payroll deduction is offered for employees of King’s Daughters Medical Center
If you cannot pay your bill in full, please contact our Patient Account Customer Service so that we may work with you for an acceptable payment plan. If you cannot pay your bill, please contact our Financial Assistance Team.
2. What is a deductible?
A deductible is the initial amount of “covered” health costs that you must pay before your insurance plan begins reimbursement. A deductible is usually a set dollar amount such as $250, $500 or greater.
3. Who is responsible for paying my bill?
As a courtesy, King’s Daughters Medical Center will bill your insurance company directly. However, you are ultimately responsible for making certain that your bill is paid.
4. What other bills will I receive?
In addition to receiving a bill from King’s Daughters Medical Center, you will receive separate bills for any professional services rendered such as the Radiologist who interprets your x-rays, the Anesthesiologist assisting during surgery and the Pathologist who interprets laboratory tests. Other physicians who will separately from KDMC are the Emergency Room physicians.
