Our Billing Policies
Thank you for choosing King’s Daughters Medical Center for your healthcare needs. In order to continue to serve you with the highest quality medical services at a reasonable cost, we must remain financially viable. To do this we must ask for your help in several important areas.
King’s Daughters will file a claim with your insurance company. We must have complete and accurate information that only you can provide. Please bring a current copy of your insurance card(s) with you each time you come for services. If you have changed insurance plans since your last date of service, please inform the representative who takes your insurance information.
Please be prepared to pay a designated prepayment based on the service you are to receive. The prepayment, in most circumstances, will not cover the entire patient responsibility left by your insurance company.
Many insurance companies require a prior authorization or pre-cert before receiving certain services. KDMC will work with your insurance company and physician to see that these authorizations are obtained. In some circumstances we may need to contact you for assistance or need to reschedule your testing if prior authorization is denied. Should you make the decision to proceed with any testing without the appropriate prior authorization, you may become financially responsible for your bill.
If you cannot pay your bill, we ask that you contact our Financial Assistance department so that we may assist in determining whether you qualify for any of the financial assistance programs we have available.
