For added convenience for patients in Greenup, Lewis and Carter counties in Kentucky, as well as Scioto and Pike counties in Ohio, Pre-Admission testing (PAT) now is available at the King’s Daughters South Shore Family Care Center. The center is located on U.S. 23 in South Shore. This new service allows patients from outlying areas to avoid the drive to Ashland for their pre-admission readiness testing. Beginning Wednesday, March 24, King’s Daughters Medical Center will begin offering a new service called a “wheelchair clinic” for patients who would benefit from having a power wheelchair or scooter. Services will be provided at the King’s Daughters Medical Specialties- Pikeville clinic, at 5425 North Mayo Trail, Pikeville. The clinic subsequently will take place the fourth Wednesday of each month. Appointments are required and can be made by calling (606) 432-2269.
